According to the Small Business Administration, a small business is based on the industry it services. If you have less than 250 employees, you are a small business. In some situations, you may have as many as 1500 staff members, and still be considered small. Companies earning $35m to $100m can also be considered small, depending on the industry. So, the question is who received the loans and Paycheck Protection? Doctors, Lawyers, Churches, Car Dealerships, and Restaurants. Approximately 70% of the applicants who had access to banks, and certain political parties were the real winners, particularly if they don’t have to pay anything back. It appears, that all of the talk about relief for small businesses is a farce. This doesn’t mean not to apply for funding, it is just something to consider when you hear the very misleading term “small business.”
